High Employability of AU’s Students in Optometry Department
AU’s Optometry students had an amazingly high passing rate in the national examination this year. Thirty-four senior students from the Department of Optometry passed the 2021 National Optometrist Examination, and most of them were employed by the optometry industry immediately after their graduation. 2021 International Dual Degree Program Kicked off with an On-line Welcome Party
Asia University held an on-line welcome party for all the freshmen who entered the 2021 International Dual Degree Program on September 15. Professor Chun-Wei Lin, Dean of College of Management, said in his opening remarks that 23 freshmen registered for this English-medium program. He said, “The new students will have classes together with international students at AU for two to three years, and in their junior or senior years they can go abroad to continue their studies in AU’s sister universities. Asia University held its annual retreat before the new semester on September 9 and 10, 2021. President Jeffrey J. P. Tsai delineated the university’s vision and mission in his opening remarks and encouraged all the faculty and staff members to work toward excellence in quality teaching, innovative research, and industrial collaboration. He also stressed the importance of turning AU into a smart university in order to meet new challenges in this globalized educational environment. AMC Listed as the Key Cultivation College for Bilingual Education
Asia Management College (AMC) was selected as one of the key cultivation colleges in MOE’s Program on Bilingual Education for Students in College (BEST) , as MOE announced the list on Sept. 2, 2021. Asia University will receive a sum of NT$. 8,470,000 for the first year and a total of NT$. 47,850,000 for five consecutive years. AU Advances in World University Rankings
The 2021 Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) was released by Shanghai Ranking Consultancy on August 15. This year, more than 2000 institutions were carefully examined, and the best 1000 universities in the world are published. Asia University is ranked No. 805, which stands as the top 10th among 160 universities, both public and private, in Taiwan. Times Higher Education (THE) also released its list of “2022 World University Rankings” on September 2 and Asia University is ranked No. 586 among 1000 universities globally.
