    AU Won 2021 Future Tech Award

    Asia University’s High Performance Materials Institute for xD Printing (HPMI for xD Printing) won 2021 Future Tech Awards from the Ministry of Science and Technology.  Professor Yi-Wen Chen and Professor Yu-Fang Shen led a cross-university interdisciplinary research team and designed a precision medicine platform for in vitro drug screening of tumor cells.

    AU’s Elite Programming Team Won National Award

    Asia University’s “Elite Programming Team” won five awards in the “2021 National Intelligent Innovation and Interdisciplinary Creation Contest in Universities and Colleges.” Students from the Department of Information Communication won third place in the category of “Digital Sustainability Division,” one special award for “Interdisciplinary Integration,” and three under “Honorable Mention.”

    AU Hosted the Conference for Research Results on Information Education

    Asia University hosted the “2020 Conference for Research Results on Information Education,” which drew more than two hundred scholars to attend either on line or in person on November 5 and 6.  Dr. Jeffrey J. P. Tsai, President of Asia University, stated in his opening remarks that in the time of the pandemic upheaval and disruption, digital learning and education technology have become the most vital issues of education in the post-pandemic era. More than 130 researchers from different universities were invited to share their findings and innovative ideas concerning the application of digital learning in the field of information education. As President Tsai pointed out, there would be inspiring discussions and sharing among all the participants and he wished more novel ideas about research on information education could be generated through this conference.

    Taiwan Education Fair Attracted More Than Ten Thousand Indonesian Students

    Asia University launched an on-line Taiwan education fair for Indonesian students from September 27 to September 29.  A record-breaking number of 63 Taiwan universities, both public and private, joined the education fair which attracted more than ten thousand Indonesian students and their parents who attended the fair to search for their target universities to study in Taiwan. Many famous Taiwan universities such as National Taiwan University, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU), National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU), China Medical University (CMU), and Soochow University (SCU) registered for this fair and each university made a …
