    AU Signs MOU with 3 Prestigious European Universities

    President of Asia University (AU), Prof. Jeffrey J. P. Tsai, signed MOU with 3 prestigious European universities during his academic visit in Spain and Italy in early November, 2018. The 3 prestigious European universities are Complutense University of Madrid (UCM, Spain), Real Centro Universitario Escorial-Maria Christina (RCUEMC, Spain), and University of Bologna (Italy). Among the above 3 universities, University of Bologna is formally recognized as the oldest university in the world.

    Delegation of Universitas Negeri Jakarta Visited AU

    On September 28, 2018, the president of Asia University (AU), Prof. Jeffrey J. P. Tsai, received a delegation led by Prof. Intan Ahmad, Director General of Learning and Students Affair, Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education, Indonesia, who also serves as Acting Rector of Universitas Negeri Jakarta. The representatives of both universities discussed the possibilities of a bilateral collaboration in terms of diversely and comprehensively academic exchanges.

    AU Delegation visited National University of Singapore

    The president of Asia University (AU), Prof. Jeffrey J. P. Tsai, led the AU delegation to visit the National University of Singapore (NUS) on September 24th, 2018. Following the signing of the MoU in 2017, both universities will continuously work together for further academic exchanges among faculty and students. From 25 to 27 September, the AU delegation participated in the Times Higher Education (THE) World Academic Summit 2018 hosted by the NUS to share ideas and knowledge with university leaders and renowned experts from around the world.     Director of MECO-Taichung Office Visited Asia University

    On September 14th, 2018, Mr. Sergio Tan Eulogio, Director of the Taichung Extension Office of the Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO), visited Asia University (AU) to discuss the possibilities of academic cooperation in terms of student exchange and internship and AU’s policy and strategies of recruiting students from the Philippines. Professor Yinghuei Chen, Dean of the International College, received the guests of the MECO-Taichung Office with some good introduction of AU’s academic features and strengths. Both MECO and AU express high interest in working together to enhance the relationships between the Philippines and Taiwan in higher education sector.
