AU Presents Three Products in 2021 BioAsia-Taiwan Exhibition
Dr. Min-Min Lee, chairman of the Department of Food Nutrition and Health Biotechnology, together with her team members Cheng-Yuan Lin and Sheng-Hsiung Huang, presented three new skincare products in 2021 BioAsia-Taiwan Exhibition, Taipei, from July 19 to July 28. They used tremella mushroom as the base material and invented a special kind of wound dressing which contains “mushroom component delivery applications by thermal feeling needleless electrospinning-nanofiber membrane.” The other two skincare products, according to Dr. Min-Min Lee, are a new patented technology with a microencapsulated structure which contains “compound essential oils with a special combination formula to promote wound healing” …

AU Published a New Book Innovation and Sustainability: Asia University SDG’s Stories in Wufeng
To celebrate AU’s 20th anniversary, Dr. Jeffrey J. P. Tsai, President of Asia University, called together faculty members and students in a collective effort to publish a book entitled Innovation and Sustainability: Asia University SDG’s Stories in Wufeng, which includes 21 stories based upon the social service ideal of global connection and local care. President Tsai shared his own experiences in building houses for the homeless and underprivileged people while studying as a graduate student in the USA. AU Recognized as a Famous University of Design Study
In 2012, Chair professor Lin Pansong from the Department of Visual Communication Design brought to Asia University two MOE’s projects: “Award Incentive Program for Encouraging University / College Students to Participate in International Art and Design Contests-Project IDC” and “Taiwan Design Competition for International Students”.. For the past nine years, Asia University has gained fame and influence in the international design communities by holding “The Power of Asian Design” exhibition and competition for eight consecutive years and cultivated numerous talented student designers internationally. AU Received 103 Research Grants for College Students
Asia University received a total of 103 research grants from Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), ranked No.7 among 160 universities in Taiwan, in its application for “Research Grants for College Students” this year. In terms of project number by per professor, AU’s ratio is 0.29, ranked No.1 in all Taiwan universities. In seven consecutive years, Asia University has won over one hundred research grants for professors to upgrade and renovate their curricula and improve the teaching and learning environment in general.
