Asia University (AU), Taiwan, just announced that the 2021 Taiwan Higher Education Fair is scheduled to be held on March 27. The education fair, organized jointly by AU and China Medical University (CMU) and the three Taiwan Education Centers in Surabaya, Jakarta and Yogyakarta, will take place from 8:00-16:00 Jakarta time. Because COVID-19 is still rampaging throughout the world, the fair will be conducted on line and some ten thousands of Indonesian students are expected to take part in the event.
Miss Grace Ou, the Director of the Education Division at Taipei Economic and Trade Office, Jakarta, Indonesia (TETO), says that Taiwan has become one of the favorite countries for Indonesian students to study in the past few years. For this event, TETO works closely with three Indonesian universities and invites their rectors, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nasih, Rector, UNAIR, Dr. Komarudin, M.Si, Rector, UNJ, and Dr. Ir. Gunawan Budiyanto, M.P., Rector, UMY, as guests of honor to deliver speeches to the participants in the opening ceremony.
Prof. Yinghuei Chen, Dean of International College, Asia University, the PI of this event, states that 42 Taiwan universities, both public and private, will join this fair. The representatives from Asia University, China Medical University, National Taiwan University, National Taiwan Normal University, National Tsing-Hua University, National Yunlin University of Science and Technology, Soochow University, Fu Jen Catholic University, National Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism, and other universities will take turns to introduce their respective academic programs and describe scholarship opportunities to the prospective students. To encourage interest in this fair, a lucky draw will be arranged during the event, and various types of scholarships and gifts will be offered to the attendees.
