Times Higher Education (THE) just released the Asia University Rankings 2022 this June. Asia University (AU) is ranked No. 78 in Asia and No. 6 in Taiwan for its excellence in academic performance and governance of the university. In this annual survey, 616 universities from 33 countries are numerically ranked according to their teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook, and 40 universities from Taiwan are listed in this survey and 6 universities are ranked within 100 best global universities in Asia.
Dr. Chang-hai Tsai, founder of Asia University, was delighted with this ranking achievement and expressed his gratitude to all the faculty and staff for their dedication and contribution to the development of the university. Professor Jeffrey J. P. Tsai, President of Asia University, stated that AU just celebrated its 21th anniversary as the youngest university in Taiwan. AU has a clear goal to become one of the leading international universities. Recently, the university emphasizes the teaching and learning of Big Data, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, blockchain, metaverse, smart medication and cloud innovation. To echo the idea of Sustainable Development Goals promoted by the United Nations, the university also offers 1460 SDG-related courses, including “Green Finance Talent Program,” for students. “We will try our best to fulfil our social responsibility as an excellent higher education institute in the world,” President Tsai said.
