The newly established Asia University CCRI aspires to become a world-class research and development center in the field of computer science, as well as playing an important role in cyberspace security.

Professor Gupta stated that the center will conduct research on cyber risk, threat intelligence, attack detection, situational awareness, and other topics using data science and artificial intelligence. The possible research areas of the Center include risk management, innovation, information exchange, product development, collaboration with relevant parties, and cyber security. Furthermore, to upgrade the security in automation industries, the Center will start to recruit and train top researchers in the fields of artificial intelligence and cyber security.

Professor Gupta has published more than 450 papers, 25 books, and 10 patents in international journals and seminars. His publications have been cited over 15,000 times, and he also serves as the editor-in-chief of four journals. He has been a visiting scholar at many universities around the world (in the United States, the United Kingdom, India, Australia, the United Arab Emirates, Japan, Spain, Italy, etc.) and has frequent academic exchanges with international scholars. President Tsai hopes that the newly established Cyber Security Center can also cooperate with international scholars to promote the influence of AU in the world.
