Shanghai ARWU Ranking --“2023 Academic Ranking of World Universities” Released

     ShanghaiRanking's Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) for 2023, formerly known as the Shanghai Jiao Tong University's Ranking, was released.  Among the top 1000 research universities worldwide, Taiwan has 14 universities listed, including China Medical 這是一張圖片University and Asia University. China Medical U is ranked 250th globally, 2nd in Taiwan, and 1st among private universities; Asia U is ranked 633rd in the world, 8th in Taiwan, and 3rd among private universities.
     
       ARWU is one of the globally influential and authoritative university rankings.  It is widely reported and extensively referenced worldwide.  Many governments and universities across the world often use this ranking as a benchmark to set development goals, plans, and strategies, aiming to enhance their universities' international competitiveness.  In 2023, over 2500 universities were evaluated, and the final ranking included 1000 universities.

       Prof. Chang-Hai Tsai, Founder and Chairman of Asia U, was delighted with the academic performance of both Asia U. and China Medical U, and he observed that the ShanghaiRanking is a crucial indicator of international academic recognition for universities worldwide.  He further stated that this ranking will encourage China Medical U and Asia U to continue their journey toward becoming world-class universities.

       Prof. Jeffrey J.P. Tsai, President of Asia U, pointed out that Asia U has consistently been ranked among the “World's Best Universities” by Times Higher Education forthe past 10 consecutive years, with an achievement of the 4th place in Taiwan this year.  In addition, Asia U has secured its academic recognition in the Shanghai Ranking,QS World University Rankings, U.S. News & World Report, and other major rankings.  In the domestic rankings, Asia U garnered the 3rd place in the “2023 Taiwan'sBest Universities” by Global Views Magazine, marking 8 consecutive years on the list. In the “2023 Excellence and Growth University Rankings” by Cheers Magazine,secured the 11th place nationwide, maintaining a 9-year record on the list. The university's dedicated efforts in education have yielded remarkable results both domesticallyand internationally, gaining recognition on the global stage.

       Prof. Ching-Hsien Hsu, Dean of R&D at Asia U, stated that the Shanghai Ranking Academic Ranking of World Universities employs six criteria for evaluation. Asia U has achieved commendable results in criteria such as journal publications, citation, and per capita academic performance, and the like.
