For the Ministry of Education's Annual "Study Abroad and Overseas Internship" Program, 239 Students from Asia University Received Scholarships This Year.

Asia University has applied to the Ministry of Education for the 112th academic year overseasexchange and internship programs, and granted a total of over 9.14 million NT dollars in scholarships and subsidies from the Ministry of Education, which will support 239 Asia University students participating in exchange programs, study tours, and internships abroad. Over the past six years, Asia University has received MOE scholarships and subsidies, sending over 2,000 students abroad. This initiative has become a popular activity on campus, allowing students to pursue their dreams, broaden their horizons, and enhance their competitiveness in the international job market.

This year a total of 105 Asia University students have received scholarships and subsidies for this program. They will be heading to various countries, including Germany's Reutlingen University of Applied Sciences, France's Montpellier Business School, the University of Tours in France, the National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, the University of Victoria in Canada, the Technical University of Ostrava in the Czech Republic, Kansai University and Sugiyama Jogakuen University in Japan, Ajou University and Sejong University in Korea, and Airlangga University in Indonesia, to study various disciplines.
The Study Abroad program plays a crucial role as a catalyst for international mobility among Asia University students. Many students use this opportunity to fulfill their dreams of studying abroad. Sharing experiences from students who have benefited from this program, along with the benchmark effect, has stimulated a trend of overseas study throughout the entire university.

These include projects such as "Cultivation of Talent in the Field of International and Cross-disciplinary Audiology and Speech Therapy," "Design of Badminton Racket Structures Applied to Special Olympics Athletes," "Green Energy Biochemistry Internship Program at the University of Michigan, USA," "Internship Program in Elderly Care in Japan," "Summer Internship Program in Biotechnology in the Western United States," "Internship Program in Professional Hotel Management in Japan," "Research on Locally Inspired Cultural and Creative Products," "Educational New Horizon: Teaching Internship in Children's Language and Cultural Education," "In-depth Internship Experience at a Hot Spring Hotel in Historic Cities in Japan's Honshu," "Internship Program at the School of Optometry, Pacific University, USA," "Clinical and Research Internship Program in Physical Therapy at the University of Nevada, USA," "Cross-cultural International Chain Management Talent Development Program in Canada," and "Psychology Internship at the Garden of Hope New York Lixing Women and Children Care Center," among others. These programs will provide opportunities for 87 Asia University students to act as interna and exchange students in the United States, Canada, Japan, and other countries, enhancing their international experiences.
Dean Chen explained that in alignment with the government's New Southbound Policy, Asia University had 10 projects approved and subsidized in the category called "New Southbound Internship Program" for the 112th academic year. These projects include the "Internship Exchange Program at the School of Optometry, University of New South Wales, Australia," "Training Audiologists and Speech Therapists with New Expertise in Artificial Intelligence," "Diverse Healthcare Internship Program in Australia," "Ecological English Guided Tours and Operational Management Talent Internship Program at a Resort Hotel," "Summer Internship Program at NIEPMD in South India," "Interior Design Management and Art Humanities Learning in Nepal," "Diverse Cultural Healthcare Internship Program in Singapore," "New Southbound Internship Program--Creative Vitality New Southbound Design Talent Internship Program," "Cultural Learning and Practice at Lion City Airport," and "Learning in Malaysia regarding Architecture and Sustainable Design," among others. In total, 67 students and faculty members will be sent abroad to institutions or schools in Australia, Singapore, and the Southeast Asian region for collaboration and exchange.

This opportunity allows them to fulfill their dreams of studying abroad and furthering their education.
Dean Chen emphasized that over the past six years, Asia University has sent nearly 2000 students abroad. The frequency of international exchanges, with students and faculty participating, provides diverse opportunities for students to fulfill their dreams of studying abroad. This has become one of the distinctive features of Asia University's enrollment efforts. Dean Chen went on to say that Asia University places a strong emphasis on students' internship experiences, aiming to cultivate practical skills that will enable them to integrate into the global workforce upon graduation.
To facilitate students' smooth participation in international internships and studies, the Language Development Center at Asia University continues to offer intensive English classes and specialized English proficiency courses, strengthening students' proficiency in English and other foreign languages such as Japanese and Korean. Additionally, for students preparing for international internships, pre-departure orientation sessions are organized to help them familiarize themselves with the necessary preparations for their internship placements.
Furthermore, the university encourages students planning to study abroad or engage in exchange programs to utilize online learning. This allows them to earn credits for courses at foreign universities in advance of their departure and engage in remote collaboration and training through online platforms. This approach helps students make the most of their time before physically traveling to their study or internship destinations.
