International Volunteer Team from Department of Social Work at Asia University Heads to Cambodia
“Spread Love to Cambodia!” Students of the Departments of Social Work, Foreign Languages and Literatures, as well as Leisure and Recreation Management at Asia University (AU) will head to Cambodia for volunteer service in the summer vacation for the fourth time. Starting from Apr. 20, a fund-raising charity sale at the atrium of the Management Building would last for one week. Nobel Prize Laureate Dr. Ferid Murad Lectures at Asia University
Dr. Ferid Murad, an honorary professor at Asia University (AU) as well as a Nobel Prize laureate, gave a speech at AU. He encouraged AU students to be ambitious and dream big when they were young. In order to have a chance to become a first Nobel Prize laureate from Taiwan, he told the students that they also needed to work very hard, dare to challenge authorities, behave with creative thoughts, and overcome difficulties and stick it out. Asia University Ranked No. 2 in Top 20 Best Universities in School-Running Performances in Taiwan
For the first time, the Cheers Magazine held an evaluation by university presidents and announced the top 20 best universities in school running performances today. Degas’ exhibition takes place in Asia Museum of Modern Art at AU
Asia Museum of Modern Art at Asia University (AU) is now exhibiting 74 pieces of sculpture by the renowned French Impressionist Edgar Degas. Rui-Xian Chen, a famous architect, was invited to be the director of spatial planning for the exhibition. He worked with Jun-Liang Chen, an art designer who was once involved in the work of remodeling the cabins of new aircrafts for China Airlines, to create a space for the sculpture to be appreciated from any angle in accordance with what Tadao Anto hoped to present when designing the triangle building of the Museum.
