Semester 2021 Kicked off with a Retreat

Asia University held its annual retreat before the new semester on September 9 and 10, 2021.  President Jeffrey J. P. Tsai delineated the university’s vision and mission in his opening remarks and encouraged all the faculty and staff members to work toward excellence in quality teaching, innovative research, and industrial collaboration. AMC Listed as the Key Cultivation College for Bilingual Education

Asia Management College (AMC) was selected as one of the key cultivation colleges in MOE’s Program on Bilingual Education for Students in College (BEST) , as MOE announced the list on Sept. 2, 2021.  Asia University will receive a sum of NT$. 8,470,000 for the first year and a total of NT$. 47,850,000 for five consecutive years. AU Advances in World University Rankings

The 2021 Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) was released by Shanghai Ranking Consultancy on August 15. This year, more than 2000 institutions were carefully examined, and the best 1000 universities in the world are published. Asia University is ranked No. 805, which stands as the top 10th among 160 universities, both public and private, in Taiwan. Times Higher Education (THE) also released its list of “2022 World University Rankings” on September 2 and Asia University is ranked No. 586 among 1000 universities globally. AU Presents Three Products in 2021 BioAsia-Taiwan Exhibition

Dr. Min-Min Lee, chairman of the Department of Food Nutrition and Health Biotechnology, together with her team members Cheng-Yuan Lin and Sheng-Hsiung Huang, presented three new skincare products in 2021 BioAsia-Taiwan Exhibition, Taipei, from July 19 to July 28.  They used tremella mushroom as the base material and invented a special kind of wound dressing which contains “mushroom component delivery applications by thermal feeling needleless electrospinning-nanofiber membrane.” The other two skincare products, according to Dr. Min-Min Lee, are a new patented technology with a microencapsulated structure which contains “compound essential oils with a special combination formula to promote wound healing” …

AU Published a New Book Innovation and Sustainability: Asia University SDG’s Stories in Wufeng

To celebrate AU’s 20th anniversary, Dr. Jeffrey J. P. Tsai, President of Asia University, called together faculty members and students in a collective effort to publish a book entitled Innovation and Sustainability: Asia University SDG’s Stories in Wufeng, which includes 21 stories based upon the social service ideal of global connection and local care.
